Special BOE meeting Monday, is state fraud report the subject?

Plainfield's Board of Education has called a special meeting for Monday at 6:00 PM at the school district's administration building (Jefferson School), 1200 Myrtle Avenue.

The meeting is noticed on the District's website (see here, PDF), with only one item of business, a discussion of 'personnel matters affecting employees of the public body', and that 'action may be taken'.

While rumors are circulating that the State will make its report on the investigation into the question of whether fraud was involved in the matter of hiring Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 2 as supervisors at salaries for which neither was certified, I have not been able to confirm the subject matter of the meeting.

Rather than provide shocking headlines such as crime, school board irregularities, etc. How about providing solutions to problems. Sometimes these headlines only inflame the masses and you should do more objective reporting. When was the last time a council member got criticized? Cutting the planning dept would save $. But, I do agree the Mayor should be held reposnsible just not 100% of the time

@ 11:51 AM -- Headlines are designed to get folks to read the story.

As for the Mayor, mayors get elected to be responsible, 100% of the time. The entire staff of the City awaits at the Mayor's beck and call to solve the City's problems.

So, until mayors aren't elected to be responsible, I'll just have to keep needling.

Remember the sign on Harry Truman's desk, 'The buck stops here'... Should the Mayor be held to less?

If that is the case. Did you criticize the McWilliams administration for the high number of homocides in 2005(15)? Anyway, Do you hold Barack Obama for not passing health care, ending the war in Iraq, and eliminating the deficit? The point that I am making is solutions can never be solved by one person and collaboration is needed to enjoy the success and share in the blame. I just do not think your blog does that enough.

Thats all

Keep needling Dan. Were is not for the bloggers, what would Plainfield residents know about crime in the city, the long running problems w Connally properties and more?

Dan, the person who is writing to complain about how you run your PERSONAL blog is free to create, write, and maintain his/her own blog. Why don't these complainers take that to heart and do their own thing??
