State Police host Latino recruitment seminar

To increase diversity within the NJ State Police, the organization is teaming up with the New Jersey Latino Peace Officer's Association to offer a recruitment seminar on Tuesday, June 26.

Latino men and women ages 21 to 34, who meet the newly reformed minimum requirements, are encouraged to attend.

"We are working tirelessly to increase Latino representation within the State Police and throughout law enforcement agencies in New Jersey," says Hector Ramos, president of the New Jersey chapter. "It is our goal to make the New Jersey law enforcement community representative of the communities we serve."

The seminar will cover the following topics --
  • Hiring process
  • Medical exam
  • Psychological evaluation
  • Written examination
  • Physical fitness requirements
  • Background investigations
As lunch will be served, prospective attendees are asked to RSVP by email to Antonio Hernandez, contact person for the event.
