Carnival today through Sunday

Carnival fun begins this afternoon, courtesy of the EMA Family Life Center.

The 2nd annual Carnival Extravaganza opens at the Plainfield High School athletic field on Kenyon Avenue at 4 PM and runs through Sunday.

I spotted a new 'Pirates of the Caribbean' themed ride being assembled in the past couple of days, along with a variety of other rides geared for kids of all ages.

And of course there will be hot dogs, and cotton candy.
