Psst. Vodka at a wine tasting? Absolutly.

Saturday's 8th Annual Wine Discovery, I am told, will have a surprise that will leave attendees breathless -- an Absolut table.

The ever-stylish Swedish vodka in the instantly recognizable bottle currently comes in ten flavors plus two special city-themed blends (New Orleans and Los Angeles, the profits of which are donated to area charities).

So, in addition to marvelous reds, whites and sparkling wines selected by the the organizers' tasting team, you will have a chance for a cool splash of the Swedish sensation.

This year's event is at the home of Mr. & Mrs. William Gearhart.

One of Plainfield's 'must-attend' events, the annual wine tasting raises funds in support of the Plainfield Public Library's literacy and children's program needs.
