Mayor Mapp to attend fundraiser for First Ward candidate Ashley Davis Thursday

Ashley Davis, candidate
for Ward 1 Council seat.

Mayor Adrian O. Mapp,
Plainfield Democratic chair.

Plainfield Democratic City Committee (PDCC) chairman Adrian O. Mapp will attend a fundraiser Thursday (May 3) for Ashley Davis, the PDCC's candidate for the First Ward Council seat in the June Primary election. Councilor Joylette Mills-Ransome, currently running for a full term in the seat vacated by Rebecca Williams when she became the citywide at-large councilor, will also be at the event.

Though the candidates were instructed on the night they won their nominations that they would have to do their own fundraising, both Davis and Mills-Ransome are continuing the tradition which goes all the way back to the earliest days of the New Democrats of coordinating their campaigns, with each candidate supporting the other.

The event is being hosted by Bobby and Jennifer Gregory at their home at 1010 Rahway Road. The hours are 5:30 to 8:30 PM. Supporters are always welcome and are only asked to throw something into the hat. Checks may be made payable to "Ashley Davis for Council".

Hope to see many of you there in support of this young woman who is embarking on a path of public service.
