WATCHUNG AVENUE CLEANUP
Queen City Pride continues its weekly cleanup with another scheduled for Sunday (November 6), 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
This week's sweep will start at Watchung Avenue at Woodland Avenue and work down toward East 9th Street and then return to the starting point.
In other news, QCP reports that it is awaiting approval from NJ Transit for its adoption of the Netherwood Train Station, with plans for monthly beautification efforts.
QCP is looking for reports of litter "hot spots" throughout the city. You can mail your suggestions to them at queencitypridenj@gmail.com. You can also send along information on those annoying signs posted on telephone poles and they will see they are removed.
The group also had a productive meeting recently with the PMUA leadership and asked for more trash containers in the downtown area.
For more information on QCP activities, friend them on Facebook here.
