It's Primary Election Day. Whatcha gonna do?

Plainfield's special primary election day dawned drizzly and grey, which is likely to depress a turnout already expected to be low.

But it is your chance to weigh in on who should get to face off in mid-October's special general election to fill the U.S. Senate seat left vacant by the death of long-serving Sen. Frank Lautenberg.

The Democratic candidates are --

• Cory Booker
• Rush Holt
• Sheila Oliver
• Frank Pallone

On the Republican side it's --

• Alieta Eck
• Steve Lonegan

Candidates are listed in alphabetical order, of course.

Plainfield's regular polling stations are open until 8:00 PM this evening.
