When money fell from the skies in Plainfield

Sunday's Ledger featured a snippet of Plainfield history which has finally made its way online.

The item concerned a promotional stunt by VIP Cycle and Sports Center involving dropping 2,000 checks ranging in value from 50¢ to $1,000.

Approximately six thousand people crowded the intersection of Arlington Avenue near West 7th Street in anticipation of catching the falling money. Read the story here.
