Free Thursday community movies continue


Thursdays throughout the summer are reserved for family fun as Plainfield
's Division of Parks & Recreation continues the 2015 series of free outdoor movies. All movies are outdoors and get under way at 8:30 PM.

Here's the lineup for the rest of the summer --

  • July 9: Alexander and the No Good, Horrible, Very Bad Day (at Rushmore Playground)

  • July 16: Lego Movie (at Hannah Atkins Playground)

  • July 23: Paddington (at Hannah Atkins Playground)

  • July 30: Selma (at Aristacare)

  • August 6: Box Trolls (at Seidler Field)

  • August 13: Frozen (at Seidler Field)
The screening of Frozen on August 13 will also feature a 'Frozen' costume contest.

Locations are --

  • Rushmore Playground -- West 3rd Street and Rushmore Avenue

  • Hannah Atkins Playground -- West 3rd Street at Plainfield Avenue

  • Seidler Field -- Netherwood Avenue at North Avenue (across from the Netherwood Station)

  • Aristacare (formerly Norwood Terrace Rehabilitation) is behind United Presbyterian Church, 525 East Front Street; additional entrance on Norwood Avenue)
Parking arrangements vary. Please be mindful of the neighbors and do not block driveways.
